REMINDER TO PARENTS:

Students have access to eBooks via SORA. While these books are endorsed for elementary and middle school levels, we cannot monitor individual selections. Some eBooks may be intended for 7th or 8th graders due to content sensitivity.

Our physical library collection is curated for grades 6-8. However, there are books designated specifically for 7th and 8th graders due to mature themes. All library materials undergo review by educational journals to ensure suitability for middle school students. If your child selects a book they are uncomfortable with or you deem inappropriate, please return it, and we will assist in finding a more suitable alternative.

Sensitive Content Notification:

The following books available in the Cedar Lee Middle School library may contain sensitive content as outlined in POLICY 6-5.6:

  • Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen
  • Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson
  • The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
  • The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants (series) by Ann Brashares
  • The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
