About Cedar Lee Middle School:

Cedar Lee Middle School serves grades six through eight as one of four middle schools in Fauquier County, Virginia. Originally built on the site of the old Bealeton School, the main building was constructed in 1973 and has undergone significant expansions and renovations over the years. In 1998, two additions were completed, followed by the addition of a library/media center in 2007. The most recent expansion in 2023 increased the building's capacity to accommodate over 800 students and 120 staff members.

Facilities at Cedar Lee Middle School include 65 classrooms, a cafeteria, gymnasium and auxiliary gym, library, technology education center, agricultural science laboratory, and two computer labs.

Expansion Highlights:

The recent expansion focused on enhancing various aspects of the school's infrastructure. The gymnasium and PE area were expanded with the addition of an auxiliary gymnasium to accommodate the increased student body. The cafeteria was also upgraded to serve one full grade level, with improvements to food storage and serving infrastructure. Additionally, the parking area and bus loop were redesigned to accommodate additional staff, parent parking, and bus capacity. The main office was enlarged to accommodate additional staff needed to support the larger student population, and now includes a secured entry/access vestibule for improved security. The academic addition included 12 to 14 classrooms with dedicated teacher resource areas, as well as enhanced custodial and utility spaces to improve operational efficiency.

Cedar Lee Middle School continues to evolve to meet the needs of its growing student population while providing a safe and enriching environment for learning and development.
